Swara means science of breath
Human body is more than just flesh and bones; it is full with secrets that are beyond our normal comprehension. A mystery among these is Swara, or our nasal cycle.
All that exists in the cosmos also exists within of our body. The sun and the moon are two opposing energy in the cosmos; our body likewise contains these energies. The heating principle linked to the sun, pingala, is connected to the right nostril. The cooling principle, or "ida," is linked to the left nostril and is related to the moon.
